This is a trip dedicated to our hardworking Tamaraw rangers – without their sacrifice, hard work, and passion, the Tamaraws may long have been extinct.
Together with Tamaraw Rangers and a local guide (also formerly a Tamaraw Ranger), you will not only learn about the critically-endangered, endemic Tamaraw and have the chance to see them in their natural habitat, but you will also get to immerse with the rangers and hear the stories behind all that they do.
Along the trail, get close encounters or see different forms of wildlife in the ASEAN Heritage Park- over 70 bird species can be found in Mts. Iglit-Baco Natural Park alone. You will gain many learnings about the biodiversity in the park from your local guide, having had many years of service patrolling the area. Mts. Iglit-Baco Natural Park is also home to the Mangyans, so expect to see them along the trail and gain perspective on their culture and way of life.
From hearing inspiring stories of our Tamaraw Rangers, to learning about biodiversity and culture, to taking in the beauty of the mountain ranges in Mts. Iglit-Baco Natural Park during different times of the day, this Eco Exploration is surely every nature lover would want to take part in.
