Emmylou “Melot” Palacio-Noel is a Bachelor of Science in Tourism graduate. She started her career in the Tourism industry in 1999 when she joined a local tour specialist in the province of Bohol. While working, she honed her skills in tour guiding as she is also an accredited tour guide by the Department of Tourism. From 2002 to 2015, she was a college professor who taught Tourism and Hospitality at Holy Name University. From 2015 to 2018, for 3 years, she was the Executive Director of the Bohol Provincial Tourism Council. As its Executive Director, she further strengthened the partnership and linkages between the government and the private sectors. It was in April of 2018 when she joined the government as the Information Officer of the National Museum in Bohol where she is also designated as the Officer-in-Charge.
