The Dumagat-Remontados of Rizal have been stewards of the Kaliwa Watershed in the Sierra Madre since time immemorial. The watershed is home to endemic species and high levels of biodiversity, and indigenous sacred sites all located within the Dumagat-Remontado ancestral domain.
The two-day camp is an opportunity to celebrate the importance of indigenous peoples and watershed management in solidarity with the Dumagat-Remontados of Tanay, Rizal. The camp will include sessions with Dumagat-Remontados to learn about the Kaliwa Watershed and the issues they face, visits to their sacred Tinipak River and Caves, discussion of alternatives for water security and a trek to the summit of Mt. Daraitan.
Minimum group of 10 to request for a private camp.
