Overview

Join us for an incredible science and conservation learning experience with our Marine, Wildlife, and Sustainability Camp happening this November 15-19!

Immerse yourself in destinations in Negros Occidental known for their sustainable & environmentally-friendly approaches towards tourism and conservation, Danjugan Island and Sipalay.

Part 1 will be a Marine & Wildlife Camp in Danjugan Island, an island sanctuary with forests, lagoons and reefs teeming with an incredible diversity of terrestrial and marine life. For its size, it holds and incredible biodiversity— at least 72 bird species, 10 bat species, 22 butterfly species, 17 mangrove species, 572 fish species, have been recorded in the island.

It has been called ”Nature’s Perfect Classroom” because of its ecosystems—based experiential approach to science and conservation education since its first Marine and Wildlife Camp in 1991. For the camp, we will be discussing topics on ecology, biology of fish, corals, birds, and bats, and environmental issues. We will be having daily learning experiences exploring the marine ecosystems of mangroves, seagrass, and corals, and identifying animals in their habitats.

Trekking is also a daily experience, where campers will explore the island on foot to see its natural wonders! Birdwatching is included.

There will also be fun and games and team challenges to engage everyone!

Part 2 will be our Sustainable Sipalay Exploration. After our Marine & Wildlife camp in Danjugan Island, we proceed to nearby Sipalay, The “Jewel of the Sugar Island.” Sipalay is a city that continues to package itself and envisions as a leader of sustainable tourism in the province. They are consistent in their efforts on promoting environment protection and conservation. (Sunstar)

We will be visiting and learning about their mangrove forests, seeing life underwater in their Marine Protected Areas, and visiting natural gems such as Tinagong Dagat – a hidden sea sprinkled with a dozen islets covered with lush vegetation. The sea bottom is covered with patches of sea grass beds, with the shoreline lined by old-growth mangroves.

Be an Eco Explorer and join us for this incredible 4N/5D learning experience!

Email us explore@ecoexplorationsph.com for inquiries on the camp. 50% downpayment needed to reserve slot. Limited slots available!
