This eco exploration is a nature & culture appreciation in Mt. Mapalad. Participants will go on a guided hike with an indigenous Dumagat leader who will educate them about native trees in Mt. Mapalad & the importance of forests along the way.
You will also learn about the culture and traditional methods of living of the Dumagats through a demo of how they cook using bamboo.
Upon reaching the summit, you will learn about its community-based initiative and get the chance to take photographs in its beautiful viewdeck created by the locals themselves overlooking the Sierra Madre mountains.
This will also be a fundraiser to help with a livelihood project of our community partners. A donation of Php500 directly benefits their Native Camp project, which aims to showcase how Dumagats used to live during the times of their ancestors and to allow people to experience the accommodations firsthand.
